We at The Oban Inn have shown our dedication to the Niagara-on-the-Lake community by our commitment to and support of the following endeavours:
- Rebuilt the major park (Simcoe Park) in Niagara-on-the-Lake in 1997
- Supported Parks Canada and the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake matching dollar for dollar in their campaign to fund the Niagara Parkways bike trail in 1998
- Assisted in the building of the new Niagara-on-the-Lake Fire Department Headquarters in 2001
- Assisted with the building of the new Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library in 2001
- Since 1996 significantly funded the landscaping, flowers, watering and labour each year for the municipal flowerbeds on the main street in conjunction with the Parks and Recreation Department and the Town of Niagara-on-the-Lake
- Continuing annual donations to the future student development fund at Niagara College and to the Viticulture Centre at Brock University
- Continuing major sponsor of The Shaw Festival, Niagara-on-the-Lake
- Founder of the Niagara Green Team, a group who are focused on preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the Town and protecting the environment
